Description of Skyllermarks Rörkabelssko 25mm 25-pack

Double annealing
Unworked copper is soft but it hardens when worked. This means that processed copper, such as that in conduit lugs, springs back to its original shape if pressed around a cable. You can soften wrought copper again by annealing it. It is a process where copper is heated up to 400°C and then cooled.
To ensure that our cable lugs do not spring back, the cable lugs are annealed twice (hence the name double annealing). This makes them soft and easy to press. It also means that they only stiffen when the pipe cable shoe is pressed firmly onto the cable. Therefore, the crimp can maintain its contact pressure throughout the life of the cable.

Properly pressed, these tube cable lugs do not allow oxygen to enter the copper wires in the cable. They are deliberately designed without inspection holes to prevent oxygen from entering the cable.
Because they have proper thickness and are double annealed, they do not spring back after pressing which poor quality tube lugs and brass plate lugs always do over time. After hexagonal pressing of our tube cable lugs, perfect holding power, tightness and contact with the copper wire is obtained.
